Banana Nutrition Facts
Bananas have been long famous for their useful nutrition properties. A medium-sized banana has about 100 calories, larger one can have about 125. So, it’s really low in calories. That is why they are an excellent food for weight loss, and help you feel full and give you energy. Sports enthusiasts appreciate the potassium-power delivered by this high energy fruit. Bananas contain Vitamin C, potassium and dietary fiber. And what’s more important they do not contain sodium, fat or cholesterol. No other fruit contain more digestible carbohydrates than bananas. This is advantageous because, the body burns off calories from carbohydrate more easily and quickly than calories from fat or protein. Bananas are also a very good source of vitamin B6, providing one-third of the recommended daily allowance in a single serving. Bananas are high in iron and stimulate hemoglobin production, therefore they help with anemia.
Banana are full of minerals and vitamins, which are vital and a fundamental necessity for the human body. Can you believe that there are used to be some countries in Eastern Europe (where bananas do not grow naturally) inhabited with people who even didn’t know about the existence of such fruit?
