<p>But of course there is an optimistic statistics on dieting as well. Dieting when treated properly and followed with common sense turned on and under control of a specialist can indeed give excellent results.<span id="more-245"></span> Diet, even a very simple one, is a sort of treatment. And it&#8217;s a big mistake when people do not consider it seriously, and don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s necessary to consult their doctor first.</p>
<p>So, if you are following a diet please make sure that you are going to be a part of optimistic (or call it &#8216;positive&#8217;) statistics and not vice versa.</p>

<p>For example, if you follow a diet which allows you eat approximately 2,000 calories per day then you should take in about 250 grams of carbohydrates. There is another approach: if you are going to lose some weight then you should limit intake of carbs to 60 or even 30 grams per day. If weight loss is not your aim then you can eat up to 230-250 grams daily.<span id="more-215"></span></p>
<p>Count them just like you count calories. Look carefully on packages of foods you eat and count calories and carbohydrates.</p>
<p>In case you prefer cooking yourself it&#8217;s really praiseworthy but counting carbs will be a bit more difficult for you. Now you need to know very well nutrition of vegetables and other ingredients of  your foods to sum up all carbs together and realize how much you intake daily.</p>
