Healthy Detoxification Diet
Have you noticed that people around you talk so much about detoxification? These talks are based on millions of harmful toxins that threat our health everyday. Although detox is primarily thought of as a treatment for alcohol or drug dependence, the term is also used to refer to diets, herbs, and other methods of removing environmental and dietary toxins from the body for general health.
The human body has a natural detox function through the liver, kidneys and lower gastrointestinal tract but is not always able to keep up with pollution. Healthy detoxification diet is a way out. Even if you think that there are no toxins in your body a three-day detox diet will certainly be useful for you.
Actually detox diets are not recently invented treatment. It has been long known as a way of cleaning all body systems and used for their renovation purposes.
One of the easiest and the most effective healthy detox diets is the one which requires eating this or that citrus fruit for each meal. The variety of citrus is big enough to eat different fruit for different meals. By the way citrus diet is also very effective for weight loss. So, if overweight is your problem then you can kill two birds with one stone.
