Low Cholesterol Diet Points
What do we know about cholesterol? Well, first of all we are all aware that too much cholesterol is bed for our health. Today even a child knows that it could be dangerous for heart. It is really so. But not it’s not only our heart that is in danger. High cholesterol level is a potential threat to to all our body systems and organs.
Some people mistakenly think that cholesterol is harmful in general, and that we should not intake it at all. It is not so. 80 per cent of cholesterol in our body is produced by our body. It is produced by such organs as liver, intestines, kidneys, adrenals, and privy parts. And only the rest 20 per cent of cholesterol get into our body with food we intake. This should be taken into account when searching for and following a low cholesterol diet. In certain amounts cholesterol is even necessary for our body to guarantee its normal functioning.
So, we all should remember that having too much cholesterol in our blood is as bad as having too little of it. How much we should intake it and/or limit daily can be determined only by a professional dietitian.
