Who Needs 1200 Calorie Diet
1200 calorie diet is one of the strictest diets mostly applied by diabetics with extremely high blood sugar level and/or those who suffer from overweight and obesity. So, if a person needs to rapidly lower his/her blood sugar level and/or get rid of extra pounds in a short period of time (e.g., in a week or so) the doctor/dietitian can prescribe following this diet under his/her rapt control. A daily diet consisting of 1200 calories or less should be only attempted after the approval of your professional health care giver because nutritional needs will be almost impossible to meet. That is why it is restricted to follow diets with such or even lower calorie intake for a long period of time. Low-calorie diets are short-term ones, and it’s a rule.
1200 calorie diet means that a person is allowed to intake only this limited number of calories (with food and drinks together) within one single day for a certain period of time. It is not that easy as it may seem from first sight, and it’s far not always a defensible measure. Sometimes it is quite possible to do without such limitations in calorie intake.
